    Biografía de l. a. autora

    Rafael Yglesias, novelista y guionista norteamericano, nació en 1954 y creció en el barrio de Washington Heights, ny. Hijo de escritores, dejó el instituto para terminar su primera novela, que publicó con diecisiete años. Tres años más tarde y tras haber publicado tres novelas, abandonó una prometedora carrera literaria para dedicarse a escribir guiones cinematográficos, algunos de los cuales serían dirigidos por Peter Weir, Roman Polanski, Billie August y Walter Salles, entre otros. Retomaría su carrera literaria a mediados de los ochenta, alternándola con su trabajo de guionista. Entre sus novelas destacan Fearless (1993), Dr. Neruda’s treatment For Evil (1996) y Un matrimonio feliz (2009), que fue galardonada con el Premio l. a. occasions 2009 a los angeles mejor novela.
